Art Installation Using a Convex Mirror near Tokyo Skytree.

Hi! I'm Izumi, a photo spot explorer.
This time, I went to a spot where you can take some unique photos with Tokyo Skytree using a convex mirror.

This public art installation is in Oyokokawa Shinsui Park near Tokyo Skytree.
You can take a unique selfie with it.

In this article, I will introduce the location of this spot and how to enjoy it.

"Oyokokawa Shinsui Park" - 5 minutes walk from Skytree

In the park, there is a large convex mirror and boat-shaped playground equipment (management facility?).

The nearest station is Tokyo Skytree Station on the Tobu Skytree Line.
It takes about 5 minutes on foot from the station to the park.
You can visit while you're touring Skytree.

"Reflect scape" - a unique art installation using a convex mirror

There is a sculpture using a large mirror in the park.
The sculpture consists of a convex mirror and a rising up road that looks like leading to Skytree.

There are lots of public art installations between Skytree and Asakusa.
These were created by art students as the GTS (Geidai Taito Sumida) Art Project.

Reference: Information on a GTS sightseeing art line (environment art work and art bench)

Skytree is reflected in this sculpture.
I took some unique photos with Skytree using this mirror!

Take unique photos with Skytree

If you hold the camera alone you'll need to be creative because your face will be hidden by your camera...!

(Peek-a-boo...)

By the way, if you don't use a mirror, you can see the Skytree directly like this from the side of the mirror.

There were some people who seemed to be tourists from abroad.
It looks like a fun picture to take with friends!
(This photo was taken before COVID-19 pandemic.)

If you're looking for a unique photo of Skytree, you should visit here!

In this article, I introduced some unique photos with Tokyo Skytree using a convex mirror in the Oyokegawa Shinsui Park.

I'm sure there are many more spots to take photos of Skytree, so I'll look for them and report it!

Appendix

There was a vending machine to sell Dashi which is Japanese soup stock near the park.

I bought and tried drinking "Umadashi" soup.
It’s worth a try.
